Seeing a Large Cat

Seeing a Large Cat - Elizabeth Peters I love the Emersons! In this one the Emersons are warned not to dig at a certain tomb. so, of course, that's where they go. I love Emerson and Peabody but Nefret, Ramses and David are teenagers and are very involved in the mystery. Loved it!

What the Night Knows

What the Night Knows - Dean Koontz Great book. Kept me on the edge of my seat.

The September Society

The September Society - Charles Finch 3.5 Some of this book was extremely tedious, i.e., I love Oxford, I love Lady Jane. But the last several chapters were very good.

Darkness Under the Sun

Darkness Under the Sun - Dean Koontz Scary.

Gingerbread Cookie Murder

Gingerbread Cookie Murder - Joanne Fluke, Leslie Meier, Laura Levine Two of the three mysteries were good.
Last book. It was good. I will miss Odd Thomas.

The Silkworm

The Silkworm - Robert Galbraith Great book. Better than the first one.

Messenger of Fear

Messenger of Fear - Michael Grant This book was awful. I cannot believe it was written by the author of the Gone series. Terrible.

The Curious Case of the Copper Corpse: A Flavia de Luce Story

The Curious Case of the Copper Corpse: A Flavia de Luce Story - Alan Bradley Very short mystery that ends abruptly. Just a littlle visit with Flavia until the new book is released.

The Revenge of Seven

The Revenge of Seven - Pittacus Lore Not as good as the others in the series. As far as Revenge of Seven goes, Seven doesn't even get to narrate any chapters. There is no revenge...she just is very angry or very sad. I like Adam being added to the group. And the Sam thing at the end.....meh. I hope the last book is better than this one.

The Hippopotamus Pool

The Hippopotamus Pool - Elizabeth Peters Great book, one of my favorite in the series.

The Neighbor (Short Story)

The Neighbor (Short Story) - Dean Koontz Nice little ghost story.

Messenger

Messenger - Lois Lowry Best of the series, so far.

Cream Puff Murder

Cream Puff Murder - Joanne Fluke The mystery was good. Hannah finds out what a jerk Mike is and Norman is still perfect for her. In this book, Hannah is trying to solve the murder of the local hussy, Ronni.

The City

The City - Dean Koontz I have been enjoying the Odd Thomas series so much that I thought I might read another of Dean Koontz’s novels. I had read 77 Shadow Street many years ago and enjoyed it very much. When I started reading The City, I didn’t know what to think. No horror - no gore. It seemed more a coming of age novel about Jonah Kirk growing up in the 1960s. Not at all what you would expect of a Dean Koontz novel. I wasn’t even sure I liked it. But it got good and I couldn’t stop reading it and on occasion it brought me to tears. Mr. Koontz is a superb writer. I think I will add another Dean Koontz book to my list.

The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches

The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches - Alan Bradley Great ending to the series. I shall miss Flavia de Luce.
